New TouchOSC Tutorial #5: More TouchOSC Advance Functions
There are many more Advance Functions in TouchOSC.
Default Poll
Default Poll is a unique function, it’s like Force + Filter.
You can setup a Default Poll (Force) and Default value.
When you drag the elements to some other value, it will automatically pull it back to default.
- Default: default value.
- Default Poll: the value higher than the force stronger.
Messages LOCAL: Control Other Element
You can use TouchOSC control other software or device.
Also, you can use it to control itself (elements).
Click the “+” beside the “Messages”
In the LOCAL channel, click “dropper” icon and click the element you would like to control.
In the example, I chose the red box.
After that, you can click the dropdown list, showing many property you can control.
Especially notice, some of elements which have 2 value input.
Like XY you have x and y, 2 values input individually.
So, in the panel → “Source”, you will choose which one you want to use.
Also, there’s a parameter — “Scale”, it just like Math (CHOP) range function in TouchDesigenr. Can setup a start value and end value. It will calculate when you control it between these two.
Messages: Change OSC Address
You can change the OSC Address as well.
There are many property & value can use for address.
And you can use constant to customized any text you want.
